Ricky Taylor's road to the Rolex 24 saw him exhibit championship form in some of America's most high-profile open-wheel development series. Taylor's championship form also came to light while logging hundreds of testing laps during the past year in the No. 10 SunTrust Racing Pontiac, while at the same time taking advantage of valuable seat time in a variety of other racing equipment, including Star Mazda and IMSA Lights Prototype machines. A year ago, Taylor was crowned Skip Barber Southern Series Champion before sailing through the 14-race Skip Barber National Series scoring a pair of wins, a series-high five pole positions, and finishing second in the season-long championship. His five pole positions tied him with Scott Speed and Salvador Duran for second-most poles in a single season.
