Italian star Max Angelelli - affectionately known as "Max the Axe" for his ability to cut through traffic - is in his fifth season as lead driver for the No. 10 SunTrust Pontiac of Wayne Taylor Racing. Through his first four seasons, he made a habit of taking the familiar, blue SunTrust Racing machine to Victory Lane, becoming the second-winningest driver in series history. His five victories in 2005, alongside fellow veteran driver Wayne Taylor, secured the season championship for SunTrust that year. The former Italian F3 champion scored his 10th and 11th career Rolex Series wins in 2007 at Virginia International Raceway and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
